 K700 对应材料 1.3401 （X120Mn12），属于奥氏体硬锰钢组。与大多数工具钢不同，BÖHLER K700 不在淬火和回火条件下使用。由于使用中产生的力，由此产生的表面加工硬化导致对磨料磨损的高抵抗力。BÖHLER K700 是可焊接的。但是，热输入必须保持在尽可能低的水平，以避免材料脆化。该材料用于喷砂和采矿应用，如破碎机钳口、打浆棒、炉排棒、衬里、挖掘机齿和链辊。

his austenitic, heat-treated manganese steel with high manganese content achieves its wear resistance when exposed to impact and pressure during use. From an initial hardness of just approx. 200 HB (Brinell hardness), the material hardens to approx. 500 HB when under load, as the surface cold-hardens while the core remains soft. This means that the material is easy to process using traditional cutting methods such as plasma or laser cutting, as is usual for austenitic materials.

At thicknesses of up to 10 mm, the material can also be sheared using powerful machinery. It can also be drilled using special drill bits made from cobalt-alloyed high-speed steels with a strengthened core. In spite of the high carbon content, this manganese steel is suitable for welding and does not require preheating.
